  1. 75% Occupancy – between now and the 6th January there are 215 days when there is an event on the Common, and only 72 free days. That’s 75%.

  2. I know this may just be me, but the one that really annoys me is the “Runthrough” 5km events that are scheduled for Saturday mornings.

In practice, what happens is that Lambeth shut down the (free, accessible) Parkrun 5km, so that they can host an identical commercial event. Identical, except for the facts that it is smaller and you have to pay to enter.

    Lambeth’s only motive is profit.

They have a free 5km that serves over 1,000 people, and they shut it down in order to host a smaller paid-for event.

    1. Good point. I agree. I hadn’t even thought of that. It is all driven by the aim of the Council to turn a profit from our land.
